Strong Shotcrete and Gunite Work That Lasts for Years
Your pool structure must withstand ground shifts and water pressure. Weak concrete work can crack, and cracks lead to costly fixes. We spray every pool to reach at least 4,000 PSI in strength.
Rebar Check
We check the rebar placement with care for extra strength.
Even Coverage
We spray the shotcrete for even coverage, with no weak spots.
Low Water Ratio
We use a low water-to-cement ratio for a dense, strong mix.
Weather Watch
We watch the weather during the pour to avoid heat or rain damage.
Special Cure
We use a special cure process to add strength over time.
Post-Dry Check
We check the concrete after it dries to catch any flaws early.
Clean Site
We clean the site after each step, so your yard stays tidy.

Built for Southern California Soil
In Pacific Palisades, the ground can shift a lot. Our mix is built for that. In Santa Monica, one client's lot had heavy clay soil. We adjusted the mix to fit. That pool has stayed solid for five years. For extra strength, we offer a 5,000 PSI mix. We test each batch to make sure it hits the mark.
The Beverly Hills New Shotcrete Pool
A Sloped Lot Challenge Solved
A client in Beverly Hills needed a pool on a sloped lot with loose soil. A standard build would not hold. We built a strong rebar cage first. Then we sprayed a thick shotcrete wall to hold the shape.
Our mix hit 4,500 PSI, above our minimum. We worked with a local engineer on the rebar layout for extra slope support. The client chose a custom shape with built-in steps.
The pool has remained in great condition for two years. We also handled the drainage to help prevent water from collecting near the home. The full project took four weeks from start to finish. The client was happy with the results and later referred three neighbors to us.
Our Simple Process for Your Next Gunite Pool Construction
We keep the process clear, so you always know what comes next. We give you a written schedule at the start.
Site Check
We check your soil, slope, and drainage. This helps us plan the right mix for your specific property conditions.
Rebar Setup
We place steel rebar in a grid. Large pools get a double layer for extra strength. Every placement is checked with care.
Shotcrete Spray
We spray the mix at high speed to fill every gap. Our crew checks the thickness as they go for consistent coverage.
Finish and Cure
We smooth the surface, then keep it moist with water mist during the cure. This adds strength over time for a durable shell.
Hassle Free Local Permitting & Mitigation
We handle all aspects of engineering, geologic reviews, and municipal approvals. Our longstanding history with Southern California building departments accelerates your scheduling. We employ strict containment and clean-air protocols, minimizing layout disruption to surrounding landscaping during excavation and concrete application.
Shotcrete vs. Gunite vs. Other Pool Building Methods
Shotcrete and gunite are two popular ways to build a pool. Both are sprayed over steel rebar to create a strong pool shell. The main difference is how the mix is made.
Shotcrete
- Mixed with water before entering the hose
- More even mix from start to finish
- 4,000โ5,000 PSI strength
- Custom shapes, steps, benches, spas
- Excellent for LA soil conditions
- Dense, watertight structure
Gunite
- Stays dry in the hose
- Water added at the nozzle
- 4,000โ5,000 PSI possible
- Custom shapes available
- Requires skilled nozzle operator
- Similar durability when done right
Fiberglass
- Set shapes from a factory
- Limited customization
- Faster installation
- No custom steps or benches
- May not fit all lot shapes
- Less design freedom
Shotcrete
- Pre-mixed with water
- Consistent mix quality
- Less dust on site
- Better for large projects
Gunite
- Dry material in hose
- Water added at nozzle tip
- Skilled operator critical
- Great for complex shapes
- 4,000โ5,000 PSI achievable
- Long history in pool building
Vinyl Liner
- Uses a vinyl liner
- May need replacement over time
- Limited custom shapes
- Lower initial cost
Fiberglass
- Pre-made in factory
- Quick installation
- Limited to set shapes
